Watch Information |
 |
Are there any radiation risks when using the Gator watch? |
|
The highest measured SAR (Specific Absorption
Rate) 10g is 1.43W/kg. My Gator watch is in compliance with SAR for general
population/uncontrolled exposure. Our device falls into the limbs limit (as it
is worn on the wrist) of 4.0W/kg. |
At what age can a child use the Gator watch? |
|
We recommend that 5 is the youngest age however it depends on your child's ability to understand how to use the watch and the phone functions. |
Can I download the Gator App on Windows OS? |
|
Sorry but our app cannot be currently
downloaded on Windows OS. We will send updates via our newsletter if this
changes in the future. Please subscribe to our newsletter
so you will be one of the first to know. |
Do you do discounts if I have more than one child? |
|
Yes. Please email us at support@techsixtyfour.com if you would like to buy more than 1 Gator watch. |
Does the pedometer work like other fitness trackers? |
|
We do not collect historical or real time data
on steps taken. The Gator pedometer only tracks steps taken during one full day
starting at midnight. When the watch is in motion, the watch will track the
steps taken but this is not reported to the app immediately. This was done in
order to conserve the watch battery life. When the watch is not in motion, this
will then report the steps collected to the app. The pedometer was added as a
feature to see that a child was being active or not rather than like a fitness
tracker where it is able to do a lot of data analysis and real time tracking.
|
Does the watch come with a warranty? |
|
Yes. There is a 1 year warranty against any manufacturer’s defects. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, damage to the display screen, if the back of the watch has been removed, if the watch has been tampered with, usual wear and tear and accessories. After one year, there may be reasonable charges for the repairs.
|
How long does the battery last? |
|
The battery life is 4 days on standby which
means when the watch is on but not in use. We suggest you turn off your watch
at night when you are not using it.

How Secure is My Gator Watch? |
|
At Techsixtyfour, the security of our product, My Gator Watch, is of paramount importance. Our business follows all IoT security industry standards and best practices as set out by the IoT Security Foundation. Since 2017, we have hired a London cyber security firm with industry accepted qualifications to do annual full penetration tests as part of our ongoing commitments to security along with monthly automated vulnerability assessments. We have completed our most recent pen test on Jan 30, 2019. We are one of only 10% of UK companies that have a vulnerability disclosure policy on our website as we welcome researchers to help us in making our product as safe and secure as possible. We have never been maliciously hacked as far as we or any of our partners are aware. This website is protected with SSL (secure socket layer) encryption, the highest standard in Internet security. All our watches are end to end encrypted. |
I live in the EU. Can I buy from your website after Brexit (Jan 1, 2021) |
|
We are currently only selling to the Republic of Ireland. For all these customers, please note that the watch recipient is now responsible for all customs formalities for the import of the item and will be required to pay any such additional charges such as VAT and duty. If a shipment is refused, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any import fees that are incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to us. This amount will be deducted from your merchandise refund.

Is My Gator Watch a 2G watch? |
|
My Gator Watch is a 2G watch which means that it works in any country with 2G networks. We use 2G because it allows for a much longer battery life. Most of the EU has 2G networks and will continue to do so for many years. Few countries in the world now have stopped using 2G such as Australia and Singapore.
